French is taught from years 3-6.  For a full summary of the curriculum in each year group, please see below. 

There are two documents for each year group - one for subjects which are blocked and another for unblocked subjects...

Blocked subjects:  Those where we teach all lessons over a one or two week period allowing them to encounter further subject matter whilst the memory of the previous lesson is still very secure.

Unblocked subjects:  Where single lessons for a subject are delivered weekly.  This is the approach taken in, for example, Religious Education where we wish the children to reflect and learn this subject matter for each of the 39 weeks.
