Enabling children to flourish and succeed

School Council

Welcome to the School Council.  We are a group of representatives who were elected by our classmates to help improve our school.

Last year we achieved the silver Anti-Bullying Award.  During Anti-Bullying week, we focused on the theme ‘Choose to be Kind’ and led lessons within our classes.  We wrote a child-friendly version of the school Anti-Bullying policy and introduced sticker rewards for children who demonstrate our school values of respect, honesty and perseverance

So far this year, we have introduced a worry box for use by children across the school and have plans to make the school more environmentally friendly.

This is the kindness tree that we created as part of Anti-Bullying Week:

This is why we wanted to be on the school council:

Lyla (year 3): "I am a school councillor because I want to make sure people are respected and treated equally."

Erin (year 3): "I am a school councillor so I can help people and make the school a better place."

Mila (year 4): "I am a school councillor because I want to have an important responsibility at St Peter and St Pauls.  I also want to help the environment."

Lewis (year 4): "I am a school councillor because I want to help people if they get bullied or hurt."

Alana (year 5): "I am a school councillor because I want to help the environment and help make the school a better place."

Demarion (year 5): "I am a school councillor because I want to help people and make the school a better place."

Harlie (year 5): "I am a school councillor because I like having the opportunity to speak for the school and help others."

Mollie (year 6): "I am a school councillor because I want to make school a better place for adults and children and make sure everyone is happy."

Penny (year 6): "I am a school councillor to help the school focus on things like the environment and making sure everyone feels safe and like they can tell the teachers anything and won't be judged."
